The speakers will be sold on auction and all funds will go to local charities in Helsingborg - Sweden.

Spe-Art is a sustainability and charity project to let local artists make creative art works out of speakers that have a damaged cabinet. The idea is to make an environmental friendly solutions of products that normally would be thrown away, due to a damaged surface, eventhough they are fully functioning on the inside. These “rescued” products that have been given a ‘second life”, will be put on auction on eBay, and all funds will go to a local charity project for homeless people, called ‘Hemlösas hus’. For more information regarding Hemlösas hus, go to www.hemlosashus.se

An event will be held in Helsingborg(Sweden) March 19 @kulturhotellet. Check it out

The artists

Tim Timmey is one of the more acknowledged Swedish graffiti artists, based in Höganäs. His artistic expression has a strong connection to the foundations and principles of graffiti which he has developed over the years. His playful and surreal animal motifs are now presented in the form of canvas for large murals, sculptures and installations, which has led Tim Timmey to become one of the more profiled Swedish graffiti artists in recent years.
Amanda Ström “I like being able to put my personal touch on everyday things. Certainly with an unexpected twist. Colors, materials and patterns that are conventionally considered "wrong" I like to mix.
Adam Algotsson, better known as Appear37 in the graffiti world, is a Swedish graffiti artist based in Borås. Since he first got to hold the pen and build with Lego, the interest in painting and creating has always been there. After getting busted spraying during his teens, he decided to spend more time on sketches and practice, which laid the foundation for today's advanced paintings, high technical ability and his clear style - all important elements in the graffiti world. Today his works can be seen on house facades as well as on wallpaper and paintings.
Karima Kertam is an artist from Helsingborg based in more traditional visual arts. Inspired by cartoons and animated films, she began her artistry in her teens, which over the years turned into a mix between realism and fantasy. She currently works with markers, digital expressions, gouache, oil painting and follows a constant development curve to explore different expressions and materials.
Collin Avery is one of the most interesting artists in Helsingborg's graffiti scene with a clear and unique style. His love for calligraphy is clearly evident in his work and regardless of place, time and material he has a clear artistic profile where he often explores the relationship between the abstract and the linear. Nowadays you can see his work - both in public and in various leisure farms, homes and offices around north western Skåne. His creative process is clearly experimental, resulting in rapid and continuous development. A future artist to keep an eye on.
The Swedish artist Max Persson and his alter ego 'Mex Parsson' explores various techniques and materials. His artistic interest began to sprout in his teens and deepened during his teens at Nicolai high school aesthetics program. With inspiration from artists such as Jean Michel Basquiat, Keith Harring, Henri Matisse and René Magritte, Max Persson's artistic expression can be described as a mixture of playfulness, the imperfect, humor, imagination - done with spray paint, acrylic, ink and ink. “The art for me is first and foremost something that should be entertaining for everyone involved. That is: I want to have fun when I do it, and I want the viewer to be happy to see it. I think talent comes from practice as well as interest and I practice and watch art every day - everything from old masters to children's drawings ”.
At an early age Timothy Avery began to express himself artistically through graffiti, which in recent years has also increasingly become a more "traditional" artist. His artistic motif has clear references to wild style graffiti - a graffiti genre in which motifs, words and letters are interwoven - although he mastered many artistic expressions that he freely moves between. He often paints without prepared references and motives, which means that he is able to adapt his artistry to space, size and material in a smooth and easy way. Based on a colorful palette, his artistic expression is found in all types of formats - on canvas, house facades and speakers.
Tomás Giampietro is a Brazilian artist, living in Argentina, who mainly creates visual art and video art. His preference for analog systems and durability is something that characterizes his artistic process where he often starts from an existing identity that is combined with a new language and symbols. His expression is clearly marked by the South American culture, which is seen in both design language and color choices.
Shaw Petronio, originally from West London, is a street art / performance artist and musician based in Farhult, Höganäs, Sweden. He is educated in art and graphic design and has over the years participated in several exhibitions, including at Kulturhotellet where he presented his exhibition "Monkey brain". His style is characterized by his experimental approach combined with strong roots in graffiti and stencil art.
Sifou is a Tattoo and graffiti artist based in Helsingborg, Sweden. His style is heavily influenced by his interest for the Holy and Spiritual within Buddism and Hindu – both from a religious and artistic perspective. Sifou started with graffiti in the early 90s and paints on everything from walls, canvas, boards, statues and so forth. His style can best be described as playful, childish and cartoonish which reflects his ambition to always have fun while painting.
Alexander Riaz Martsoukas grew up in Greece but now lives in Helsingborg where he works as a tattoo artist. His interest in tattooing is born in his teens when instead of using his school books as intended he scribbles them down, including himself. In addition to his tattoo, he tries to master "spraypaint street art" as a result of his fascination with the expression. His love for space is reflected in all his works and over the years he has painted under ArtstreetHbg and at Mogwai in Helsingborg.
Edin Tucalija: I am a multi artist who paints, draws, folds steel wire, creates patterns and writes poetry. My artistic method is to create a lot of art and then pick out the good parts. Quantity provides quality, exercise provides skill. Therefore, I usually say that I am very productive, rarely creative. My art is partly about breaking beauty ideals, partly about elevating the beautiful and vulnerable within us. Eyes and faces plays a central role - that is the opening to the soul, this is where the mysterious within us lives and longs to be discovered.
Philip Grönqvist is born and raised in Helsingborg and has always been interested in art, culture and music. He has been active in graffiti and more traditional visual arts since his teens. For the past two years he has been investing more and more time on tattooing which is an extra big interest of his. His style is very contemporary and characterized by a minimalist aesthetic with clear references to popular culture.
