Black Pearl V3 is in many ways a bookshelf version of the powerful big brother Black Diamond V3. The loudspeaker has an identical driver and plays as pure and clear, with the same good precision. The 1" tweeter has a smooth frequency response due to a special double chamber technique, and produces an extremely low distortion and a low resonance frequency. 
The strength of Black Pearl V3 is the very good reproduction of the midrange area. The level of detail is high and the speaker has a very balanced sound stage. Furthermore the bass reproduction is in the same class as larger floorstanders.
